UFO guide (3) - UFO bonuses

RED UFOs

- when filled until the blinking circle appears, they drop a life piece

- if defeated, whether at full power or not, they drop a life piece and a red blinking UFO

- the red UFO multiplier is 1x for both at full power or not

BLUE UFOs

- if defeated, whether full or not, they drop a blue blinking UFO

- the blue UFO multiplier is 6x for the UFO which is not at full power and 8x for the UFO that is at full power

GREEN UFOs

- when filled until the blinking circle appears, they drop a bomb

- if defeated, whether at full power or not, they drop a bomb piece and a green blinking UFO

- the green UFO multiplier is 2x for both at full power or not

MULTICOLOURED UFOs

- when filled until the blinking circle appears, they drop a small blinking UFO the same colour as your last picked UFO from the UFO gauge

- if defeated, whether at full power or not, they drop a small blinking UFO like the one from above

- the multicoloured UFO multiplier is 3x for the UFO which is not at full power and 4x for the UFO that is at full power

EDIT:  @sothe01 : When you destroy rainbow UFOs, it transforms any blue item into a red item and viceversa it collects.

UFO guide (4) – other facts

touhou-memories:

If you don’t deplete the UFO’s lifebar in time, when there are like 2 seconds left, the UFO will ascend and will fly away with all your collected points.

The big UFO will start ascending when a midboss appears even if it has more than 2 seconds left on its timer.

The big UFO will be destroyed when the boss dialogue appears.

If you have a big UFO on screen and you collect a small UFO, the small UFO will not be lost, but converted into ‘Value’ points.

Be careful! Big UFOs will kill you if you ram into them. So don’t do this.

UFO guide (1) – types of small UFOs

touhou-memories:

In Undefined Fantastic Object, in order to get life pieces, bombs/bomb pieces, to increase your score, you need to catch these UFOs.

These are non-colour-changing UFOs.

This is a colour-changing UFO. You can recognise it by the fact that it blinks. I changes red->blue->green->red

image

If you are close enough to a blinking UFO, you can make it not to blink and keep it’s colour. But when you go away from it, it will start blinking again.

Sun Ra (1914 - 1993) … pointing towards the celestial majesty that was to come.

Afrofuturism: Mixing contemporary black culture with the ancient world and looking at it through a cosmic kaleidoscope. Sun Ra created it. All roads lead to Saturn.

Despite the retromaniacal culture we now inhabit, Sun Ra imagined the future, offered a utopia, feared not death, lived fantastically.

wonders-of-the-cosmos:

The soaring pillar is 9.5 light-years, or about 57 trillion miles, high, about twice the distance from our Sun to the nearest star. Stars in the Eagle Nebula are born in clouds of cold hydrogen that reside in chaotic neighborhoods, where energy from young stars sculpts fantasy-like landscapes in the gas. The tower may be a giant incubator for those newborn stars. A torrent of ultraviolet light from a band of massive, hot, young stars (off the top of the image) is eroding the pillar.
